Best Chicago Hot Dogs
Whether you’re in the market for a Chicago-style dog (pickles, sport peppers, mustard, onions, sweet relish & a dash of celery salt) or just a darn good hot dog, grab a bite at one or all these places:
The Chicago Doghouse
Conveniently located near the Fullerton train station (a 5 minute walk from our hostel), this place knows how to prepare delicious hot dogs. The Chicago Doghouse has a vast & tasty specialty menu of encased meats. Also, we recommend their homemade chips known as “frips.”

The Weiner Circle
Another neighborhood favorite, located at Clark & Wrightwood, The Weiner Circle makes for a memorable experience. Not only do they know how to dish out a great Chicago Style hot dog, but they are known for their downright amusing customer service (don’t be surprised if you get an insulted while ordering a large milkshake).

Hot Doug's
The infamous Hot Doug’s. This place may be notorious for long lines, but they prove to be worthwhile when you get your signature hot dog and an order of fries fried in duck fat. This place has all types of sausage and definitely does not disappoint. Trek over to 3324 N. California Ave. for a most excellent lunch.
