La Pasadita gets our vote for one of the best authentic taco joints in the city. In addition, they also serve up some savory tortas, tamales, & tostadas all for incredibly cheap prices (you can get 3 tacos for under $7). 1140 N. Ashland Ave. right off the Division Blue Line Stop.
Korean Fusion? Korean Street BBQ? Sound good? Check out the ever-tasty creations at our neighborhood Del Seoul. Their tacos are superb & come in these types: sambal fish, sesame-chili shrimp, grilled beef short rib, spicy BBQ pork, or spicy BBQ chicken. We can’t get enough of the shrimp! Located at Clark St. & Wrightwood.
Visit Wicker Park & sample the infamous tacos at Big Star. You’ll find one memorable meal in a delicious white tortilla, people go crazy over their pork belly tacos & the dulce de leche milkshakes, expect long lines & service on the slow side, BUT a most excellent meal.
Find yourself on the northside of town, then check out Edgewater/Andersonville’s late night taco spot: El Norte, their al pastor (BBQ pork) is some of the best around, and they’ve become quite renowned for their top notch horchata (Mexican rice drinks). Broadway & Bryn Mawr Ave.
