Exploring Hyde Park

27 Sep

It’s no wonder a lot of travellers set their sights on this south side neighborhood…

Museum of Science & Industry

Enjoy the exhibits of the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere.  Whether it’s a stroll through the German U-505 submarine, or catching a glimpse of the Science of Storms, The Museum of Science & Industry does not disappoint.

University of Chicago

An architect’s dream, The University of Chicago is a tremendously historic campus worth walking through.  The history of the place is filled with a myriad of Rhodes Scholars and over 85 Nobel Prize recipients.  Fans of Gothic architecture will love the sprawling buildings and towers.  Also, check out the campus’s Smart Museum of Art.

The Robie House

Everyone knows of Frank Llyod Wright.  Here in Chicago, we have his infamous Robie House.  A U.S. National Historic Landmark built in 1908, the Roman bricks, distinct interior windows, and Wright’s own Prairie style architecture make this structure a must-visit at 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave.
