Festivals, Feasts, Fiestas & Fun in Chicago
Wow. We are on the brink of a ton of festivals in Chicago. Its high time to give you the heads up on the fun to come, book your room with us and party your heart out….

Mayfest in Lincoln Square
Oh how we love the flowing of Bavarian beer, brats, pretzels, and live music. This Lincoln Square festival is a short commute from our hostel and well worth your time. The only strange thing is Mayfest is not in May, but runs from June 3rd-6th.
Blues Fest 2010
Chicago’s Blues Festival in Grant Park is always something to write home about. It is awesome not just cause its free, but always packs a stellar lineup of musicians (this year features trance-blues originator Otis Taylor as well as blues harp master James Cotton). Check it out June 11th-13th, and watch that guy strum his guitar with his tongue.

Taste of Chicago
This is a massive annual festival. The Taste of Chicago is an event filled with food, big-name music, fireworks, and peole from all around. The admission is free so you won’t have to pay for the music, but tickets must be purchased for buying food from the myriad of different vendors. This event goes from June 25th- July 4th.

Tour de Fat 2010
This is an awesome celebration of cycling, the environment, and fun times sponsored by the brewers behind Fat Tire Ale. There are ridiculously cool performances by crazy cyclists, obscure bands, and weird games. Tour de Fat is a fairly new festival that’s definitely worth checking out. This event is on June 26th and we will see you there.
