Halloween in Chicago

Urban legend, supernatural myth comes alive in this popular tour constructed by author Ursula Bielski over at Chicago Hauntings. This bus has evening tours that explore all the most actively “haunted” Chicago locations. October tickets are $33, cameras are encouraged, and reservations are a must.
The historic Music Box Theater presents its annual Music Box of Horrors. Blending a perfect lineup of classics and newer installments of horror films, the presentation is sure to chill, thrill, and creep you out. Tickets start at $30 for Oct. 13th, and the iconic venue is located near the hostel at 3733 N. Southport Ave.
Chemically Imbalanced Theater is performing a stage adaption to the silly 1989 cult classic Troll 2. Tickets are only $12 and the theater co. has been known to produce tons of local laughs (1420 W Irving Park Rd.). Here is a list of other Halloween type stage performances.

Spooky Zoo Spectacular.
Lions, tigers, and zombies? Oh my! The Lincoln Park Zoo gets into the Halloween spirit with a free event geared towards kids with a haunted house, arts and crafts, and entertainment. This event only occurs on October 22nd, from 11am-2pm. Better hurry in, the Zoo is handing out limited amounts of free Goosebumps novels. Forget the candy, grab a book and hang out with some furry friends!
