“I have stayed at the Chicago Getaway Hostel many times over the last 10 months, and at this time would like to comment on the consistency of the Hostel, its staff, its amenities, and the cleanliness. First, the staff is very eager to help in what ever way they can, whether it be the front desk staff, the cleaning staff, and or the cooks. Unlike chain hotels, which have a constant turn over of staff, the Hostel oddly enough has a very consistent group of people working there, one sees each and every trip. “I LOVE traveling to Chicago, but HATE paying exorbitant amounts for overnight accommodations. The Getaway Chicago Hostel is an answer to prayer. It is in the beautiful, Lincoln Park area, has exceptionally easy access to the brown and red lines, as well as access to CTA bus routes on Fullerton, Clark, and Halsted. It is in easy walking distance to some excellent restaurants and cafe`s. AND They have a full service kitchen at your beckon call if you so choose to cook for yourself or your group.
