“I was amazed at your hostel. You had just refurbished it; you had laptops / wi-fi for free use; you had breakfast; you had guitars for use. Your hostel is located in an up-scale neighborhood, apparently the second “richest” area in Chicago. I was impressed. Within a block or two, many wonderful restaurants and live music, especially jazz, blues. The travelers were all international; I was about the only one not from overseas, and about the only who was not fluent in at least two other languages (I exaggerate but it was quite a great mix of folks).”

“I have to say, for a hostel this place is one of the better ones I’ve stayed at. The staff is helpful and attentive, the rooms are clean (though small… but hey, it’s a hostel), and what most impressed me was the bathrooms. As a bathroom snob, I normally wear shower shoes into the shared bathroom stalls, but I left mine at home and was not at all squeamish about stepping barefoot into the extremely clean shared showers. The location is great; just on the outskirts of downtown and close to bus stops and a short walk to the red line. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere, so you’ll never go hungry. The neighborhood is also very cute and I felt really safe walking to and from the bus stop at night.”

“Really nice for a Hostel. Exactly what you should expect for such a great price near downtown Chicago. We stayed in a private room, and had all the basic necessities (bed, sheets, little desk, lamp, mirror, closet, window…) And it’s a really nice atmosphere downstairs with all the young guests mingling in the TV room, kitchen, near the pool table…”
