July Festivals in Chicago

More warm weather, more urban outdoor extravagance… 

Get a taste of Chicago at The Taste of Chicago.  The annual FREE fest of fests is back with a huge music lineup.  Come experience 37 different food vendors, free music, and fun in beautiful Grant Park, July 11th-15th.

Good Music on a good street, check out West Fest in Wicker Park.  Milwaukee Ave is overcome by bands, beer, and vendors July 7th & 8th.  Plus, the band Black Lips plays for FREE on Saturday evening.

 July 21st, get on over here and celebrate Chicago’s Bicycle culture at Tour De Fat in Logan Square.  Crazy bikes, live music, free giveaways, food & drinks, insane customes are some of the awesome elements on display at this newer festival of two-wheeled madness.  P.S. We rent bikes for cheap right here at the hostel.

Milwaukee Avenue Arts Fest kicks off July 20th at 4pm so you can take in Chicago’s ever-expanding art culture as more than 250 artists are on display.  Buy a print or drink a beer and listen to a good music lineup/ theatrical performance(s).

Chicago knows pizza and hot dogs, BUT we also know how to craft a hamburger. Stop by the Roscoe Burger Fest July 21-22 for all types of burger creations (beef, turkey, veggie, steak), often the price is cheaper than off the restaurant’s menu.  Music, food, & fun on Belmont & Damen.
