November Events in Chicago’s Autumn Season
No, that building is not erupting in festive flames, this is just a small part of The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival. This event has been going on for over 40 years along the acclaimed Michigan Ave. and once again lights up on Nov. 20th. The light procession begins at 5:30pm, and the fireworks start at 7pm along North Michigan Ave and the Chicago River.
This is a fun place to spend a Fall evening, visit downtown’s Christkindlmarket, a German-American festival that offers warm food, spiced wines, and a variety of hand-crafted wares. Admission is free and it’s fun to just stroll around The Daley Plaza. This market is open from Nov 25th-Dec 24th, 11am-8pm.
Just when you thought the bright lights would stop, our neighborhood zoo offers this cool event. You have to check out Lincoln Park Zoo’s annual Zoolights. Nov 26th-28th, the zoo will be open late (until 9pm) and will light up the evening. What’s cooler than a walk through a neon zoo at night?
