Being one of the largest cities in the Western Hemisphere, Chicago boasts a lot of different tours.  We are breaking them down and choosing the one’s that will enhance your Windy City experience…

Take in the big city lights on a memorable Night Architecture Tour.  A one hour tour encompasses a trip up the Chicago River providing close proximity to many famous skyscrapers and landmarks.  Also, the tour provides an informative narration beginning with The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 and moving forward to the great rebirth of architecture in Chicago.  Ticket prices range from $29-32 and the tours start at Gateway Park at Navy Pier.

bike ride

What better way to see a cycle-friendly city than on a bicycle?  We rent new bikes built by our local cycle shop that are perfect for cruising the city.  All rentals come with locks and the beautiful 18 mile lakefront path is a 5 minute ride from our front door.  The lakefront path is a great way to see the city and connects with a bunch of the famous attractions like Millennium Park, Navy Pier, Art Institute, Buckingham Fountain, and the Museum Campus.  Bike rentals are:

*$20.00 (half day- 3 hours)

*$30.00 (full day- until sunset)

Discovering Chicago’s rich past during the Prohibition Era is a whole lot of fun with Untouchable Tours.  Revisit the 1920s & 30s and experience a blend of humor and history that the Untouchables Company pull off with expert ease.  Learn a mix of historical and gangster facts on a big black school bus that leaves from the Rock-N-Roll McDonalds.  Tours are generally an hour and the admission is $30.00.

Explore Chicago’s intricate Pedway system: a network of tunnels, ground-level concourses and bridges connecting skyscrapers, retail stores, hotels and train stations throughout the central business district of Chicago. With a length of more than 40 downtown blocks, it contains shops, restaurants and public art and helps pedestrians in inclement weather. Most connections to the pedway are commercial or government buildings, including hotels.  Check out Chicago Elevated for the pedway walk, as well as a variety of other excellent walking tours: Loop Tour, Red Light District Tour, Riverwalk Tour & more.  Tours are highly recommended and are around $20.00.
