Small Music Venues in Chicago That Deliver Big Sounds

The Empty Bottle is a cozy little venue that offers an intimate experience for any music lover.  Don’t expect Lady Gaga, but do anticipate a diversity of cool stuff from this place including: Farmer’s Market events, indie rock, DJs, and Windy City Soul Night.

The Green Mill is another fan favorite.  This place is a jazz lover’s dream that fuses the vibrant sounds of the genre with an unforgettable dose of Chicago history.  This venue is a must-see for any visitor.

This one goes out to those who like their music fast & loud.  The Mutiny serves up rock-n-roll in an addicting and dingy setting for those who like to drink beer straight from the pitcher.  This place leaves a lasting impression.

If you like indie rock and the myriad of sub-genres pertaining to it, check out Lincoln Hall conveniently located right by our hostel.  This is a newer and fancy venue that delivers great music for a generally smaller admission fee.

I couldn’t conclude this musical tour without including Chicago’s infamous blues club, Kingston Mines.  this place is a historic venue that boasts awesome blues and is just a short walk from our hostel.
