TNK Festival 2011 Chicago

Here at the hostel we’re psyched about the TNK Festival coming to Chicago January 12-16th at Lincoln Hall, Metro, and Schubas.  A 5 day pass is $100 and includes an opening night reception, free cocktails, trolley travel between the venues, and a chance to meet some Chicago rock critics.  Otherwise, the shows are $15 a piece.

Definitely check out The Handsome Furs from Montreal.  This husband and wife duo not only put on a great live show, but play some very good electronic rock music.  In addition, they are playing at Lincoln Hall which is right by the hostel.

An awesome Mid-Western born hip hop/rap star, Freddie Gibbs has been described as the next Tupac…and we agree.  Any fan of the hip hop genre should not miss his performance at The Metro.    *Also, other great acts like Besnard Lakes, Mister Heavenly, Twin Shadow will be performing, plus many more.
