Coziest Bars in Chicago

13 Jan

By Erica Wiethorn During the unbearably cold Chicago winters, sometimes it takes a lot of motivation to venture outside. But when cabin fever starts to set in, it’s best to head to the bars that still have the warm, cozy feel of your own living room. Here are some of my suggestions for the best […]

Travel to Montreal

18 Dec

I recently spent my spring/summer in Montreal, and after my first weekend in town, I was really surprised how little I had ever heard about what a fun and interesting place this is. Most North Americans only know one thing about Quebec; it’s that weird part of Canada where they speak French. And that’s true. […]

I’ve stayed at a number of hostels in Chicago and this one is by far the best. Slightly outside of the main city, but very close to trains, busses, the zoo, bars and the lake. Public transport in Chicago is amazing so location is more-or-less fine, particularly given that it’s in a super expensive beautiful neighbourhood. The hostel is one of the nicest I’ve stayed at worldwide with very friendly staff and activities most nights of the week. Highly recommend.

Really clean and secure hostel, would be recommended to others. Close to both trains and buses into the city center and the train station. Staff knowledgeable and helpful about the city, and very friendly.

The hostel is very centric, you can easily go mostly everywhere from there. There are some bars, pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood you can go walking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When i did the check in I was charged a bit more than I expected, once I talked to the staff the problem was solved. Free breakfast, free printer, events during the weekend, nice atmosphere!! Excellent hostel, I really recommend it!
